I feel the sun shining even though it's dark out.

Sitting in the sunroom on this cool autumn day, listening to this dancing about the sound of my windchimes... Wow, almost eerie. Something's going to happen today.

This inspired me to hit the books again and read up on things that have cobwebs on them in my head. Somehow this lead me to checking out a tutorial on how to play Billy Joel's Piano Man...this in turn led to playing with the f blues scale in ravensguide...which turned into a kikass song..so I think. Kinda jazzy blues..with funk thrown in. I'll finish it later and upload it..thanks for the inspiration.

itunes->preferences->playback->Sound Check is the thing that is taking the quiet mp3 from garageband and upping the volume (it's probably normalizing; meaning it scans the file for the loudest part of the wave and adjusts the volume such that that loudest bit is at 0dB - or some other set loudness) Little known thing in Garageband... Track->Show Master Track Now, click the info button (bottom right). You'll see that you can apply all kinds of mastering presets here. Try some out. Congrats on the audio interface.

Was a beautiful tune the first time. Something about this version, though, I'm finding deeply moving.

I just finished reading Citizen Vince by Jess Walter and at one point in it the protagonist meditates a little on hearing people speak without listening... nevermind, my brain is just connecting this track with the musings of that character.
