As slowly I recall
These letters sent to you
As all things come to pass
I anticipate that I'll leave
This world for a new
Waiting for the letters that you'll send
Civil War
At 300 strong
Into the heart of Dixie we roam
We might be…
Oh, nice rhythms happening here.
1:00 mark... heck yes, man. very tasteful indeed.
I keep thinking, "this is my favourite track so far," until the next track starts. These songs are in the perfect order. This album really grows and unfolds and gets thicker and wider and ...
what is happening at the 2:30 mark? That's bloody awesome man. I didn't see that coming. Too good.
YES! That is a really great, looming, oppressive bass line.
Excellent use of winding and interweaving guitar parts, cycling between the wah and clean bits.
The 2:30 mark is great. Really intense. The way that part rolls on until the release at 3:00 is perfect.
Love the way the drums roll in at the :50something mark.
This builds really nicely. Great backward bits too.
Yeah. That's a very nicely laid out piece of music, right there. Excellent come down. That acoustic foundation lick is really infectious.
The song that really kicked off this second album of 2009.
"In time all the stars will fade away
Our kind won't get to see it anyway
No shine, just endless black between the gray
I won't be going out in that way"
The only other drinking track I have I can think of is Hood River. 24 hour challenge track, and although I did not record it drunk, when I was trying to think of lyrics I sat down with a bottle of Pendleton whiskey and decided to write an ode to the fine distillery @ hood river....also working in some nursery rhythms. ;) jam on it.
Glad you liked Bottle Neck. Really just a mess around track for now, and seeing as I very much so enjoy my whiskey, I had to come check this out. Pretty much summed up by saying this is some crazy sh+t man. Seeing as how I'm 3 sheets blowing in the wind the extra low kick is really getting my head nodding. Damn I love me some loud drums...haha

I'm really thinking of renaming the upcoming "Burning Wood... The Bonfire Sessions" album "Stealing Genius." I write something simple, put down some picking at the beginning, some acoustic guitar and some vocals, and send it off to people with…
normally would try to upload something like this to my Wizard of Drams account, but here it is on my original Jesmiaus account.
I remember listening to the vocal track after I recorded it and thinking wow I really do sound like I am singing…
Haha crazy, well you know great minds think alike! Hope all is well with you man. If I ever get time off this year we'll have to do another acoustic jam/bbq/beer fest...damn now that I know who you are I need to check out the weirdness...
Towards the end of the recording/learning session, I should have checked the volume levels on the overdub. Again a much older tune that I have spruced up over the years, the original is much different.
12 string improvisation - title came from a person who said I didn't understand "deep blues". That is probably true which is why I got the blues ;-(
Feel free to use this in something if you'd like - just post a link in the comments here so I…
I came up with the initial rhythmic riff on my bass, then looped it to create the basis for this track. Then, I layered another "lead" bass track on top of that, added some percussion, and finally topped it off with an electric piano-ish sound…
Reg had sat listening to the Wrinkled Shirts track and decided it was time to tell you the story of how he found his Mojo. it was a time way back when, to far back to remember. when he was just a young man. when he had decided to fast-forward…
This track is a second attempt to put Kavin's beautiful track [Poor Boy](http://alonetone.com/kavin/tracks/poor-boy) through my Steve Reich style phase shifting looper.
In the first I had it play through the whole track but I didn't think it…
This track is the result of putting Kavin's excellent track [Propitiation](http://alonetone.com/kavin/tracks/propitiation) through my Steve Reich style phased looper.
It's a beautiful piece but also quite a sparse sound which lead me to think…
Sunday aftnoon (11/09/08) took the reso down to the Fort Worth Modern Art Museum and recorded some doodling inside the Serra sculpture Vortex. No effects added, all natural reverb inside the structure.
