On 10/27/2014 I uploaded this re-mastered version, dropping the first half of the vocals by 3dbs.

Justin, The drum on STEPPIN' ON SOME TOES is just poking the bass drum and the snare drum keys on my midi keyboard. Then I quantize it to the 1/16, because I'm lousy at playing on the beat, add some reverb to it and then pull the volume down until it sounds like it's way back there somewhere.
Sweet dreams are made of these

Everybody's looking for something

Some of them want to get used by you
Some of them want to abuse you
Some of them want…
Lyrics and music by Hank Williams Sr., but my cover is in Dm/D, with guitar and bass tuned to Drop D.

LOCOMOTIVE BREATH
In the shuffling madness
Of the locomotive breath
Runs the all time loser
Headlong to his death
Oh, he feels the piston scraping
Steam breaking on his brow
Old Charlie stole the handle
And the train, it won't stop going…

Here's a Classic by Jimi Hendrix with a Fab Backer by Speed Demon with yours truly doing the vocals Thanks Gene for letting play at being a Rock Star.......
October Music Continues with a second song with a bit of a swing to it. The guitars are all Stratocaster and the lyrics were written off the top of my head in about 3 minutes. I think this one is a tad too long, but otherwise I don't loathe it.
True story: Old lady at the end of my street lived to be 96 years old. She out-lived all of her family and now lives alone with her photos of love. The only love she's getting at all.
Not quite sure what I was going for musically with this one. It was just a couple of off the top of the head ideas. Not a lot of thought or planning. The lyrics are an Florida Man story about a guy who called 9-1-1 to ask for a ride to the…

A very professional-sounding job of songwriting and recording -- not a lot of tracks on AloneTone that rise to this level of quality composition and production. Quite impressive -- Rock on!

Jan 17 2015 - Remixed. I was always kinda disappointed with what the original mix sounded like. Listening to it the other day I realised what it is - I'd mixed the vocals too loud. This reduced the "stereo" and killed off a lot of the life…
A fantastic, brilliant, colorful, delicious, epic composition! This is one of those one-in-a-million exceptional bit of songwriting. I'm impressed. A lot of mojo happening here. Take a bow, cause I'm standing and applauding this one -- FABULOUS! 5 STARS!

I've listen to A LOT of FDR, and so I wasn't expecting this -- it's a different flavor from what I'm use to from you. I LIKE it! Great job! You should drive off in a different direction more often -- keep us on our toes, keep it interesting. Rock on!
The verse and the chorus are pretty much the same thing except the chorus is louder and heavier. I consider that a gimmick and a bit of a cheat, but I very often really like the way it works out. Shoot me.
The lyrics are about being afraid…

You did a little Marlin Manson like cover. Nice arrangement.
You got the touch. You & gene both.
Always loved this song. The strange buzz is perhaps gonzo attempting to amply the doctor.
How much fun it must be to recreate this old chestnut. What a time that was!
This is groovy.
Such a cool texture.
Old Hank! just a head! LOVE IT!!!!!
Nice rendition of an awesome song!

Dig this a lot - again very earthy, organic quality in what you do.

My psychedelic folk version of the 6th movement of the 2112 suite by the extraordinary Canadian progressive metal power trio called RUSH.
Now I dig this!
Great guitar work.
You have a remarkable talent for stringing together groovy, colorful sounds.
THIS IS GROOVY!
Good job, Captain -- gorgeous job!
I'm impressed that you were able to make that work -- adding the drums later -- but you pulled it off, and quite well in fact.
A good bit of songwriting, well sung. Great job.

Hell yeah, man -- be proud and tell 'em loud what you got to say that war just ain't the way!

You got a great handle on songwriting and you certainly know how to make a guitar smoke -- Rock on!
Dig your style, your brilliance, your darkness. Keep doing what you're doing -- you do it the best.
Powerful, clever lyrics.
