Wow, I listened to all 3 tunes in the series, but I must say that My wing really grabbed my ears... I hate to compare but the Wistful/ Leonard Cohen feel to this one is magic. faved .. loved it .. more please
This is a collab song with MTC. I almost hated adding anything to it cuz the first track he sent me was kickass vintage Jim. It totally changed flavors in the collab process, but still one of my favs

Didnt mean to have a political slant but had just got denied my large order soft drink in Manhattan.
All thats left are the small sodas with the "NY loves big cans" tee shirts

Texas hold em poker, and going for it all. Open mic acoustic with some alt tuning. Percussion by Norm.
The kokiriko? Norms playing in there actually sounds like shuffling cards- particularly loving the glockenspiel addition he did…

WOOO - I've been listening to all of your stuff while doing some much needed guitar maintenance. Haven't been near enough the PC to fave and comment appropriately on individual songs... but WOW! I didn't hear a single track I didn't like, and there is some utterly SUPERB stuff in your track list.
Hoping there'll be some more soon.
It seems a lot of you record with open mics and can relate. I record 1 track at a time with usually 4 or 5 tracks. So, Im only asking for about 15 minutes of Silence...IS THIS TOO MUCH TO ASK??? Anyway, my house is so loud, I get a lot of bloopers…
You never would have caught me playing this genre a few years ago. WHat the hell happened ??
All the instruments were recorded with an open mic at my house. Which, as you know is always a chaotic place to record :) If you listen hard enough…

This is a recording of Norm and me playing together a few months ago. I didnt have any percussion instruments so Norm was on a Roland electric trap set and I had a cello. I looped some of the stuff we did that night, and retrofitted the rest…
drip by drip..
I did the guitar and bass tracks first, then procured my 10 year olds cello for the main bass line :) I also tried my luck playing cello with a bow on this track- which was a new experience.

I had the pleasure of hearing an alternative version of this song. One where the green fairy exploded. It was good. Norm agrees that a) both versions are awesome, and that b) bottle rockets are good. ~Eloise
Vocals: Tricia Dovidio
Lyrics: Bob Beckley
Composed, arranged & mixed by Steffen Offermann
This one was tricky to do because the piano does not play at a fixed tempo, and it was an online collaboration (like all my collaborations).
Here's to Johnny!
Gifted composer. Talented musician. Supportive friend.

Thanks for all of the tasty tunes Johnny.
5/4 120bpm.
I started off with an idea to record some harmonized diminished arpeggios and the other riffs just happened along the way. Inspired by Dethklok, hope you like it.
In the 90s I was in a band called "Tainted Angel" and we played this in a bar and after the first time people were calling out requests for it all night, so I ended up playing it about fifteen times that night, without receiving even one tip or…
This is a tune I picked up from alonetone a while back. Johnny did a piano version of "I'd Love to Change the World", and Michael Thomas from Cave Street added the outstanding vocals.
When Michael told me he was doing the vox on it, I wanted…

Thanks for the comments guys - Richard, you are right on, I should bring up the cello volume. It sounds perfect in the car but diminishes on my computer speakers. - cheers
Final version of this tune - voice and guitar, banjoe accompaniment
i'm still getting used to this new mic and finding my voice sounds different with or i'm singing differently because of it. So .. feedback appreciated, and if you like it…
Jamming with a couple buddies. I screwed the lyrics up but it was fun to do. Who doesn't want to at least try an AC/DC tune?
A live recording:
Me: Vox, Bass
Joel: Guitar, Backing Vox
Chris: Drums, Backing Vox
RPM 2011 number 2. Inspired by an ex-friend of mine who had the most dazzling rose tinted glasses. Always used to envy the simplicity of his view and how nothing could ever get to him (everything gets to me).. since i knew him I know a lot of…
A live studio take, made in San Francisco's "Different Fur Studio"deep in the heart of the "mission district"..a live audience made it a lot of fun!2010
This one was recorded on the 16th February 2011 at Pat Molloys (o'Neills) in Colchester. Featuring Stuart Tizzard on Slide and Vocals, lovely example of a laid back country blues, one of my favourites from the set I think
great tune, great blues, great delivery. I wish the recording had less clipping on the bass or perhaps a limiter-but wait, its likely just my broke-ass computer speakers...:)
