Did the guitar tracks first, followed by bass, then drums and vocals last. I wrote this song in a bookstore, after I came home and recorded it, I realized I made the song too short for all the lyrics.

Reefwalker, you don't even need a vocoder. A jacuzzi is a much better option. Once your boy gets into it, he'll forget all about the vocoder! (But I did trade the Caddy for a really nice microphone...)

Norm, my son's been ribbing me about buying a vocoder, but I would rather get a jacuzzi I caught some of that banter in the recording...just had to keep it

4 stereo guitar tracks played out one at a time.
Another late night - early morning recording.
I like to keep a positive attitude about the things that haunt me, but sometimes dreams change course unexpectedly, and the worms creep in.
Enjoying a few tracks on this site with Indian flavor lately. My brothers legs were so red from slapping them to get the perc sounds in this track, I had to laugh, That alone was worth doing the song ;)
Enjoy # 92
Spicy percussion provided by Norm
An experiment with quarter tone tuning.
I tuned my guitar: low E (normal tuning)
A (quarter step up)
D (normal tuning)
G (quarter step down)
B (normal tuning)
high E (tuned D then quarter step down)
this was originally a song about breaking through paradigms but turned into a song about a girl.
Keys and string samples from Korg, MIDI with the old Ensoniq,
one diving board.
Thanks for the listen ,enjoy... RW
Here's to insignificance my friend. May you never be squashed like a bug.

Deadlines, freeways, appointments, things to do lists, expectations, getting older, not enough hours in the day to get everything done? ..... make each day and moment count! Thanks to Dave Matthews for a lick I threw in there. Enjoy!
This is an absolutely beautiful song written by Jon Foreman for his side project Fiction Family and I felt like givin it a shot soo I just kinda learnt it and threw it together theres a few flubbups but they kinda workout well in the end
enjoy :)
When love is no longer enough....
Stay Awake
I hear every little sound,
Every breath, hearts beating,
They're breathing....
See the passion in her heart,
A witness of her fire,
Desire....
I feel myself drifting off,
The pillow…
Caveat emptor: I did absolutely none of the drumming in this piece.
ANOTHER WORLD PREMIER! FIRST RECORDING OF THIS PATTERN - EVER!

This is an "out-take" from the You EP. Written in 2000 it was not finished as far as it is until 2005. Being lazy I just adapted the original rough take I made so I would not forget the song.

The first time we played this tune, the drummer and I played it, spontaneously, almost exactly as this recording documents. But we'd never heard it before, had no chart, Kelly was just playing it on the bass and singing a bit, and our parts just…

Comments on Reefwalker's stuff
Flawless reef. I think the length is fine and the lyrics are frigidly modern. It's short, sweet, and directly to the point.
Sweet sound!
nice feel.
Love it! w;-)

This is freaking Superb!!!!! Faved
Norm, my son's been ribbing me about buying a vocoder, but I would rather get a jacuzzi I caught some of that banter in the recording...just had to keep it
IMHO, the only button left to push is "fave"!
Fantastic. Stem to stern hit. I like everything about it. "I'l be my own harmonizing vocoder" - ha! You should really post the lyrics to this gem.
Great stuff! Has a nice live feel to it
one of my favorites by you!

I love big, never ending pads. Honored to even be considered a speck in this great expanse
3 nice change ups here and good guitar flow and tone though the whole piece Rick.
Nice crystal clear samples, dropped in at perfect times. ideal for this percussion track
Great tune, knocked out the vocals
ditto on the guitar at 330, the stay awake chorus is great too
Always unusual as usual. How can you listen with a straight face :) Oddly reminding me of Elmo
