Written for/about Ben Montgomery. Answering machine messages wondering where he might be are from yours truly and Jason Biehler, his two closest friends who were always trying to track him down.
Thanks davey! Marlena was in charge of her melody, I'll tell her you like it! And good 'ole glu is in charge of it rocking so hard.
I can't wait to work on the next version of this guy (taking it down a half step and redoing the vocals)
Every single sound source on this tune comes from a cheesy 70's Capitol Records promotional record. A great record, mind you, complete with faked dialogues between engineer and producer. At times, it's messy, so hold onto your faders.

hey, 1)its really not clear to me how to reply to any comments made to tracks of mine...? 2)cheers for your comments! "My Sweet Darlin" was mostly me recording on top of me, and then a friend providing the other vox after. 3) "My Son" was a lot of fun to put together. The Books comment is a great compliment! The vox samples are a friend of mine and me. We used to play these two characters, these proud american fathers, a lot. ehehe. glad you dig it.

'Ache' loaded instantly, really - but this track took a tenth of a second, by which time I was looking for the loading cuteness but there was none. See, you've spoiled me already ;)
Apropos of nothing to to do with coding, I LOVE this song! Thanks :))
Can I learn this lo-query stuff without being a javascript wizard?

This is pretty experimental for me, and even I feel it is way out there. This is a chronicle of a man descending into madness after discovering the truth in the words he has said and deeds he has committed.
Really to me it sounds like cheesy…
Hi Inge! Any new songs lately, or is being a full time mommy eating up all of your time? Listened to "Don't" a couple times. Really nice guitar part and (as always) beautiful voice. Tough topic to sing about, you did it well.
Made when the credit crisis was starting, Volatility refers to how volatile things are in reality and how it results in us being insecure and uncertain about the present and future conditions of our life.
Something completely different- Uilleann pipes(Irish bagpipes) and synth. I wrote this tune over 20 years ago in the style of traditional Irish slow airs. It was recorded way back in 1991 for an album that's been out of print for over 15 years…
I watched as she walked back across the border. There was no one
waiting to question her. she turned back to look at me from the other
side of the fence. I couldn't decide which side of the wall I was on.
Goodbye my Penelope.
Loved this album, it was a whole bunch of fun. The auto-tuning is just nuts, as well as all the bitcrushing and panning and samples. Just a whole 40 minutes of fun. Thanks guys.
Here I attempt to articulate a few distinct feelings of the home, or the affect of cultivating one's own space, or not.
Instrumentation: house keys, pots and pans, long bamboo flute, synth, drum programming, voice(s), and didgeridoo (a real…
A moody solo acoustic thing that I came up with playing in a long forgotten tuning. Just got a new Zoom H4N, so this was recorded in my shop sitting at my reedmaking bench may 12 2009
Sometimes magic happens. Sometimes it even happens to me.
Open D tuning (low to high D A D G A D). Just a practice session where I had the guts to press record.
No drugs. Just beer with dinner. Maybe they put something in the creme brule…
Great feel to this! Sounds like electric guitar music from west africa, completely slowed down and shoved underwater. Very soothing and pleasant to listen to.
Wow, I wasn't expecting such nice response! Thanks for the comments everyone, I'll have to go on an instrumental spree for a bit now :)
@Sister Savage - it's an upright bass, but I agree, it sounds very much like a cello in this case.
Warning: silliness ahead!
alloy (along with this months issue of MusicTech) got me into the creative possibility of gate and pitch shifting effects so I spent a happy morning playing with Logic's noise gate, vocal shifter, and ring shifter…
100% field recordings of animals from SE Peruvian Amazon, Madre De Dios region. If this is your first bioelectrophilia experience, check out the album I made while I

Sweeeeet! The beat here is nice and chiiiiiil. Cool project, I'm sure you'll whip corey into shape :) Tell him if he runs out of open source ideas, alonetone needs a few bells and whistles, including some stuff I wanna do on ec2. :)
I only have great things to say about this batch of tunes brando. And this one, it carries your trademark sound, love the last minute. I mean, I have things to say about all these tunes, but it just comes down to me being really very happy to listen to new stuff from you. Congrats!

Really enjoying your songs, they are a great companion to my day.
Great harmonies on this one, a really nice listen.
Lovely. A wonderful adventure from start to finish. Like Sister Savage, I was caught wondering "who *is* this" - should have known better :)

Hey cool! I was just playing this tune the last couple days thinking about you. A nice mix of words, singing, harmonica, and electric guitar...

Damn, glubot continues! This is one hot track. No one could mistake the smell of this tasty dish - mmm, Glu ragu.
Damn, this is Funky with a capital F. Had me getting freaky in my chair.
Wow! Nice laid back groove. Hey, I remember that piano line :) You must have 'cleaned it up' rhythmically, it sits well now. What a surprise!
Heh, right around 2:40, this gets TRIBAL! love it, makes me wanna get up and dancing.
