Hiding April
Hiding April is a programmatic electronic piece that uses the hardware Korg MS2000 and Absynth 5 software synthesizers and orchestra percussion from Garritan Personal Orchestra. At about 4:10 I found an aircraft-ish sound on my Korg which then triggered a complete story in my mind where the music became about hiding a woman named “April” who was important to the resistance against the government. Because I was living next to a river at the time I imagined a group of resistance fighters walking through the forest along the river hiding from surveillance aircraft while making their way to their destination. This piece was at one time changed and used for the Cosmo project as “Cosmic Microwave Background” but to be honest I never was too happy with the result. This I think is the more true life of this music.
