It's in the key of 4th fret and was written just over a month later than the other two, on 19th March…

Now here's a bit of an oldie - the second song I ever wrote. In... 1978!
I think I played it once, or maybe twice, at school assemblies. My musical peers and colleagues back then dismissed it as corny/rancid pop music…

I LOVE this!! It's got everything - super-catchy, some lovely chord changes, great middle eight and a key change at the end. This would have been a huge hit in the 60s!

That’s a long way back! Long before any of us could easily record at home. It’s a fun song that you have held onto all these years.
I wonder we’re the next generation of musicians are? The garage bands, kids dragging instruments around, all that seems to be gone. You’re song has managed to bring back the memories of my youth.

Here we go.
This one started out one morning several weeks ago when the sun was still shining...
If it's as wet and dark as it is here, just close your eyes, I'm sure you can imagine it if you try hard enough...

The picking style is driving in an old timey way
This is really fine good work , Andrew

This one is loosely based on the Frog and the Princess. What if the Frog was really a man but with a less than perfect face? If beauty is only skin deep, why is ugly to the bone? Can't someone less attractive be beautiful inside?
Enjoy.

I've been listening to a good bunch of yours this evening, most of the King Arthur's Knight set and selections from everywhere else. I was too busy listening to type any comments!
I love how you seem to be able to take anything and everything and turn it into a song. I've kind of learnt something here, not sure what it is yet, but many thanks!
This is really effective. Not a style I listen to much, but after checking out your other tracks I had to come back for another listen to this one. Kinda sneaks up on you.
Lyrics:
You think you know what you’re talking about
You get your way when you scream and shout
Look all around, you’ll find someone to blame
I’m just a pawn in your little game
I thought you were special, that was my mistake
You thought…
I haven't listened to one of yours yet that I haven't liked.
We get the spirit of Lemmy, Lee Brilleaux, a "fired up" Clapton, and countless others... good old honest rocking and swinging stuff.
Glad I discovered you this morning - excellent stuff, keep it up sir!
Loving the strat and harp on this one.
Oh yeah, the spirit of whatever it is that gave us Motorhead, Dr Feelgood, and all that superb British RnB back in the 70s is alive and kicking in Nottinghamshire...
Loving this stuff.
Love it. I was about to make a comment about I can a certain amount of Kilmister/Clarke here, then I noticed I have a version of City Kids coming up in a few minutes
If it all has this vibe, I think I'm gonna like your stuff :-)
Love the lead bass-playing.
For everybody who wanted to hear my voice!
I love rainbows. I originally uploaded this as a dedication to my Dad :)

Yeah, write some lyrics!
It needs doing :-)
Even without vocal this yummy. And some VERY tasteful guitaring going on - makes me want to get one of my telecasters out and dust it off.
And then the sudden change of style at the end? That was a real surprise, but it seems to fit - it needs them lyrics.
Oh this is just a brilliant version. I played it because I thought, well... I had my doubts! (I'm kinda fond of the original).
But this is superb - there's a whole load of sunshine in your voice.
It's fun to buy a new toy once in a while. This is the first attempt at using my new Line 6 POD Guitar Effects.
Lyrics:
Here you come, my sweet baby
Don’t know why you drive me crazy
I’m crazy, in love with you
And it’s been a long long…
the girl with her piano
this land she's in
clothed in unfamiliarity
these colors blend, fade
and run out of hue
all light has changed
and turned into greyscale
tinted with every shade of blue
this room she's in
suddenly fills with…

Comments on Andrew Russe's stuff
A few measures in and I am already smiling. I can feel the warmth of this song coming through, and I love how your acoustic sounds. Great cut!
Another wonderful song, Andrew very much enjoyed KC
Sounds like you’ve been inside my youngest sons head. Seb would agree totally...... excellent delivery as always ...
Good stuff. You're very versatile.
Does have an old school feel ... but that's good.
Another beauty from the shoebox.. keep em coming

Excellent!

Has a Beatlesque vibe :-) 15 when you wrote it, huh, the talent was already there... enjoyed it, Andrew KC
Loved it the first time around, now adore it, a cross between Dr. John and Leon Russell, with little bit of Ian Dury ...... Magic ....

Heroic ballads... this is so cool. So glad you’ve shared these older works. Brilliant!
Nice guitar playing! You got the touch Andrew!
Great work! I can hear the Tull influence but also reminiscent of Gordon Lightfoot... If you remember him?!
Wow... your vocals on this are just perfect. I hear that Jethro Tull influence there. Really pretty guitar playing.

I'd like to hear your voice more prominently as well, but it does work well like this (I just like vocals!) Lovely feel to it, big smile music.
Ooo yeah, like this one. A lovely "tight but loose" feel.
Not convinced he sounds like David Essex - ok, a bit maybe - but he's got a fabulous voice. And his guitar playing's rather tasteful too. Nice one.

Mighty piece of work. An excellent timeless kind of song, wonderfully captured.

Classic. A cover of a song written for a spoof, that goes to show what a good RnB song it actually is. Love it. Excellent harp playing.
Brilliant version, just brilliant.

Fantastic playing there. Congratulations. Pity it's only a minute long though lol
