Wake up in the morning, I’m still in my cloths
I got one eye open but the other wont go
Barely can remember the night before
Except for how you threw me out the door
Whiskey, Whiskey, Whiskey
I think I’m in trouble again…

I was standing behind an elderly couple in the grocery store checkout line last week.
The cashier told them that someone had donated $100 toward their groceries. $100 had already been paid toward their $121 grocery…
You are a writing machine....next stop Tin Pan Alley for you...(are they still doing that?)
put you in a 4x6 room and let you pump out tunes all day till you get a # 1....lol
outstanding Greg!!

Oh it caught me by surprise
I Looked into your pretty eyes
Nothing more than a simple kiss
And a moment like this
We don’t need no fancy cars
Diamond Rings that shine like stars
You never really asked for more
Than moments…

Very tasty intro. You're getting some fab guitar sounds.
Love the "Makes me think a little more bout how I’d like to be" line. And that solo is simply spot on - simple is best :)

Update: Gene offered to improve the Mix on this song! This is that improved version. Thanks so much Gene! You are awesome!!!
I wrote this song earlier this summer, and had played it a few times with Greg Connor, fellow alone toner, and…
Outstanding . . .
I can hear Melissa and the rest of us harmonizing. Colin's bass is keeping us together and Scott's mandolin just brings it over the top.
Great song and lots of fun!

Searching for something
I wonder and roam
Hoping the truth
Soon will be shown…
Keyboards (bagpipes) performed by Starry Nightmoth. Lead guitar by George Harrison. Vocals and all other instruments performed by Gene Eric Mann. Thunder and rain by Mother Nature. Lyrics by John Lennon.
Happy Sunday Alonetoner's.
I wrote this song yesterday as I had some recent events to ponder.... I hope you like it. Trying for a bit of a bluesy feel. If you'd like to download it and add some background blues bass or guitar, or harmonies…

I start smiling every time your voice pans to the other speaker. That's fun!
Nice song. Andrew has the stuff. I think he's right on, although it may not stop Colin and I adding a little something.
Think of it as putting plastic Pink Flamingos in the yard. It may not add much, but you just feel good about it.
Here is my version of Greg's Cherry Pie...I took a little liberty with it and recorded a whole new song.....I think Greg said that would be ok!!
Tried to put the Sweet Ronnie Cream Cheese Mojo on it....good gawd!!!!
This is my first upload. I mostly have a vocal here. It's a song that I'd love to get some collaboration on from the guitarists in the community. Let me know what you think?
Are we having fun . . . or what! I think Ron's Mandolin would sound perfect in here.
Sounds like the key of C to me, less a little drift from singing *A Cappela*.
Maybe somebody will step up and send you a guitar track. If not, we can record it next time we all get together.
Welcome to the wonderful world of Alonetone!
Comments on Greg Connor's stuff

Been there, done that. Good tune.
Mines a double! Cheers!
A double shot of tasty shuffle
Mmm- tasty. Now can you do one about a wine-guzzling banjo player lost in Russia? LOL

This is one of your best ...is that you doing your harmony part? love the lyrics and the whole feel of this one!! most excellent...
I just hope that, when this happens to me, that the open eye isn't my blind one... lol

Old stumble and scratch going home blues. "Hick"
Some nice songwriting. The way country music was supposed to be.

Nice! Are all amateur radio operators this creative? - WJ8F
More good work, Greg. Inspiring and neat to know that there are people like that out there. Good job of putting it into song!
Wow.
great poem, delivering the goods in mutable ways.
Sweet swing and clear delivery. That is more like i"d like to be. Faved and stared and sincerly enjoyed "Random Acts of Kindness"

Poignant, tender and I wish I'd written this.
