Day 28
Anyone else still writing songs?
this is the result of trying to listen to too many mixes in one day. Sometimes it's just easier to record something else.

An unaccompanied song about bedtime. Not a lullaby though. Oh no!
What does anyone think of the 'cat's moustache' line - it seems like that's a make or break call right there and i like it when i read it but it's hard to sing without…

One of my heroes. Willie McTell was blind from birth and travelled all over the south in the thirties at a time when many people would never go more than 20 miles from their home.
Plus nobody sings the blues quite like him…

RPM 2011 - my first track recorded and the opening track for the CD
A kind of Old Time gospel number, which, if you listen to those pre-war guitar playing preachers, are virtually indistinguishable from blues. Except for the lyrics…
EDIT final version now posted and the page turning is gone but i left this intro as is in case anyone is reading the comments. Does anyone read the comments? or the intro?
i turn a page somewhere in the middle of all this - you'd think i would…

Guitar, mandolin and voice.
this doesn't fit with my rpm project AT ALL so i may not use it but i like the way it came out. I recorded the music for Bethan Mathis' RPM project but she didn't have time to use it (her album is…
i dont know how. but although i really liked it i didnt fully connect with the power of the emotion in this till this listen. im completely in love with it. i have regular regretful momments. this will be an ideal soundtrack when i need it out of my system
I'm finally happy with this track - v1 was too much of a nothing song and it's been bugging me all the way to the last night of the challenge.

Every so often when i'm thinking of something else a western song pops up as if there is a soundtrack to a movie running in the back of my head. I might have to gather em all up into a playlist some day.

One of my favorite things about finishing the RPM Challenge is that I know you'll have an album finished, too, that I can hear.
Day of rest is exactly right. I'm just loafin' this weekend!

This is the first demo [Sister Savage](http://alonetone.com/sistersavage) and I have made for our RPM 2011 album.
Although I've uploaded a copy here we'd be really grateful if you would listen to the [version uploaded by Sister](http://alonetone…

After Reg's murderous thoughts it only took an argument about who was going to make the tea to make his beloved leave him but the problem was, so had 50% of his lottery winnings and it was this he took hard, He went on the preverbal bender. Waking…

RPM 2011 number 2. Inspired by an ex-friend of mine who had the most dazzling rose tinted glasses. Always used to envy the simplicity of his view and how nothing could ever get to him (everything gets to me).. since i knew him I know a lot of…
My first upload.
This is a cover of probably my favourite song of all time, by The Waterboys, who were introduced to me many years ago when the highlight of my week was Thursday night TV, pizza and quaffing Baileys.
Thanks to Sister S for…
This is the demo version of what was to be a full-on internet band thing. The instruments are place holders (but not bad in part). Just pretend the lead guitar player got into the wine early. Sadly, it will likely never get beyond 'demo', but…

Having fun (finally) playing around with the riff for this tune by Howling Wolf, which is based on a song by Charley Patton and another by the Mississippi Sheiks and another by Tommy Johnson and so on ...
