An electronica rework of my song "The Path You Chose." Looking for a female vocalist to sing to this one (the version with vocals, to straight guitar, is on my page).
This track dates back to 2012, when I was in the process of recording my 2nd album, "The Only Way to Build is to Tear Down," in a super run down shack, while seriously broke. On the other hand, that was the last album I really did multitracking…

New song. Wrote the guitar part first, lyrics came later. This is one of the first songs I've done more than one track on in quite a while, and also one that isn't dark (unusual for me). Anyway, enjoy!
just spent an absolutely lovely 15 or so minutes in the comfort of your songwriting. truly brilliant. in my humble opinion. especially liked lyrics of the last 2
The guitar part and part of the words came first- the song was not easily written. I had to force it a little, and finished it today after having fragments kick around in my head for over a month. I hope the words and performance live up to the…

This is a new song I wrote about two weeks back, and am FINALLY able to perform (I wrote the guitar part first, and it was too hard initially to sing and play. Even now, the timing is off in a few spots- that'll change as I perform it more). I…

This is a song written about a week ago, maybe two, but at the time I couldn't play it and sing at the same time because of the difficulty of the guitar part. It's a bit of a scratch version, I think the vocal timing will improve and change some…
A friend of mine is a director/scriptwriter, and asked me to do a version of "John Barleycorn Must Die" for his documentary on the Appalachian Trail. Instead of doing a cover of Traffic's version, I came up with my own version based on the original…
Dark little number. I just finished rereading "The Stand." That probably influenced the imagery of this song a little, though the message is actually pretty positive. It's about pushing through adversity.
This is a scratch version of a song I just wrote. It's basically a homage to a certain group of people who were strongly influential in changing me and making me who I am.

This is a song I just recorded. I wrote the music for it a while ago, and may have even posted it up here as an instrumental. I decided it was time to write lyrics. It went slow, I got fragments, and it was looking like it was going to be a totally…
nothing worth hoping for. Great line/title. Something of Johnny Cash in the vocal delivery for me. No bad think. The guitar tracks really nice too. Nice rugged feel
This was a write it and record it in one session song challenge that my songwriting friends and I came up with this week. Lions and Lambs was started thinking of spring, but it turned into a song about relationships... as they often do.
Greg…
I dig it. Guitar and voices. Mandolin? Multiple voices. Live recorded maybe? I am envious that you have access to that kind of community locally. Well done.
RPM 2015 Feb. 18 update: I cut a new vocal for this one which is an improvement, but this mix is still not right. Dunno if I'll have time to fix it before the deadline... (This is the full length track as opposed to the truncated version with…
I've been out of touch. Trying to figure things out. A lot of travel, I got back about a week ago and am still trying to get situated. Hope all is well with you and your people. At some point in the near future I will download all of your stuff to my phone and listen to it as I drive to work. That is all except that you will probably hear from me soon.
Mother your an a hole
I know cos father said so
when you left for bingo
he said you was a pain in the ass
Father you're a dick head
I know cos uncle mick said
when mum and him were in bed
they said you was a total douche
ah but its…
Straight up, I think your music is great, always have. You are (as I also do) giving it away for free. At some time in the near future I plan on downloading all of it, putting it on my phone, and listening to it as I drive around. That will happen. Well done, sir.
A Sea Shanty with a bit of Psychedelic seasoning. Guest artist Starry Nightmoth performs the “harmonica” on a Yamaha KB as the song fades out.

Unconnected, re: noise reduction on I Lose Control v.2- if you want to, go ahead! I'd like to see what you're able to do. You can email it back to me at songsforthebroken@yahoo.com, and I will put it up and credit you. If you get any ideas while doing that and want to overdub something, feel free to do that as well! Thanks again for listening!

Thank you Steve Cross for coming up with with the perfect drum and rhythm track. This guy did it exactly according to my specifications.
As for the song itself, it's different music. You need a certain level of musical talent to comprehend…
Original track with a little bit of everything. Pop R&B vocals over Piano and Bass finishing with the craziest beat to date. Headphone only add to it!!! Enjoy.

Thanks for your comment on my song a while back. I like this song, a a lot. The building of intensity in the first few minutes is really well done. I do have a question. Are you going to credit William Ernest Henly (probably no relation to Don) for your use of his entire poem "Invictus"?
Thanks again for doing that- the end product is amazing! Re your comments on "The Gift"- no, I haven't touched it since. The song has only been performed live once. It's pretty personal, that's why. It's a good song though. I do have a recording of the one time it's been done since. I don't know, maybe I should give it another shot.
I am honored by your offer to remix my song. Please contact me at songsfromnowhere@gmail.com and I will correspond with you directly and get you the raw tracks.
I got myself a little bargin off ebay a Zoom GFX-707 £25 and have been playing around with the effects ....here's a tone i like so of course i tried to mould something to it ...i feel i've made a bit of a breakthrough with teaching myself the…
This is badass! Have you ever heard the Violent Femmes song, "Never Tell?" It's a similar song concept, but in terms of musical direction or lyrical style your song is nothing whatsoever like it! This is great!
When you walk away, don't talk that way
Imagine the words you say
May be your last.
And if you're angry please don't leave
Just think how near may be the end.
Why must you hold your silly grudges
and revel in your woe
You always had a talent…
Wow! I said I'd listen to all your music when I had time, and I finally do! I'm house sitting for a friend who is a recording major... so she has super awesome studio monitors in her kitchen and I'm listening to your stuff over coffee! It's all really good, , solid writing, performances. Very versatile, all different styles of music, vocals- and stellar production values. Well done. My favorite so far is still "Low and Holy." But I also like "Senseless." I'll keep listening, and by the end of the weekend I'll have heard all your stuff! Really enjoy it!
angel delight
as soon as i awoke i ran downstairs to my laboratory
to see what my strange attractor had brought me
at first it had been disappointing: a few wisps of smoke
some sea-shells and butterfly wings
but this time i found something…

:) very kraftwerk
this needs work, but it has got serious potential! Personally for me, the guitar and the vocals fall flat. But the entire idea is brilliant.

I dig it, this is awesome! There's a lot going on in this song musically, but it all fits! Well done!
Extremely well done, all of it. Beautiful. I plan on listening through most of your music when next I have some down time.
That makes total sense! Again, really good song!
