This has a lovely relaxed feel to the music (reminiscent of the soundtrack to Moon?). I like the clean feel for the chorus in the first two iterations but I'd add the sha-la-las in for the play out to give some differentiation.
As Kavin says, I think it needs something around the 2:40 mark. Maybe something instrumental and a bit soaring.

Love like a salt river washing away
Love's like sunshine evaporate
Love like floating candles blowing away
Watch out for the way you'll compensate
When I've seen all you have to give
When I'm still hungry
I need more than this
Tell me how…
Thanks to Sister Savage for helping us debut our new project. As busy as she is, Sister managed a bit of time and some great Jovian vox for us.
This piece or art is unique, sublime, and psychedelic.

A laid-back funk instrumental. My habitual place-holder while I work out what else to put up.

The chorus is adapted from "O Death Rock Me Asleep", by Anne Boleyn, while imprisoned in the Tower of London, waiting for her execution.

This is a cover of a song by Sister Savage, from her kickin' 2010 RPM Challenge album, Juped 2k10. It also introduces the genre of acoustic crossdressed spacecheese (these damn kids today with their flying cars and their hyperspecialized genres…

I added melodies to the initial track and then Sister Savage
rerecorded the vocals to match the new melody.
A cover of Iron Angel Forge's song from his 2009 RPM Challenge album, Not Forsaken. He is here at alonetone under the name IronAngel.
I haven't told him yet, though, so it's a surprise ;~)
Originally conceived as a mellow-ish, Stephen Stills sounding number (at least the verses), then the chorus came to me out of nowhere and turned the whole song on it's ear. I think that was for the better. I have to admit that I surprised myself…
I literally pulled this out of my ass in a few minutes. The lyrics just poured out of me once i decided to sing about myself. Very autobiographical, also inspired by polka music. i love polka music!
Thanks for the tip - I'll let our vocallist know! I'm just the lowly synth player.
Really liking your stuff, by the way. You've got a great offbeat gentle thing going on there!

Rough sketch of a proposed dreamy 12 string piece that I couldn't pull off on the 12 string so did this quick electric version with vocal pads. Not sure of the recording quality- sounds OK in my cans and kinda crappy on my monitors. Recorded march…

Very compelling! A worthy successor to Grace - close enough to keep the band feel but different enough to stand alone.
Haunting vocals - very atmospheric! -M
