Finally, at last... I've got something finished...
Been working on this for a few weeks.
A bit of a rocker... (and an aging lecherous one at that)
I got it as close as I could and then mixed it loud... I've over-cooked it slightly - but…
Oh yeah. Great rocker and what fantastic vocal work. Love those guitars and I love the lecherous lyrics. Does not sound over-cooked to me, Andy; in fact it sounds bloody great with just the right amount of limiting.

Here's the very latest from the broom-cupboard.
I wrote it one dark night over 23 years ago.

I wasn't even sure the recording machine was still going to work after nearly five years... Certainly, bits of me don't work anymore... But, surprisingly, I got this done in 24 hours, start to finish... Strange old world…
I wrote this thing in 1994. When I played it to some friends back then they went "yeah, but where's the rest of it?"
I've been struggling with that concept ever since. Then, a while ago, a couple of kindly souls removed that worry from me…
Next in the little pile of songs from the shoe-box. This one has the date 27th January 1994 written on it, but it's describing an episode from many years earlier when I was, I'm guessing, something like 12 or 13 years old.
I had to go to a…
your recordings i have heard are all impeccable... excellent... you gave me some tips on eq on SC that I have been applying....really makes a huge difference....thanks

I feel I should donate something as I've recently downloaded all of your alone-tone catalogue and must say I've been O-D ing on you most of the afternoon and I haven't come across a bad track yet (there's got be one surely where you suck and its badly recorded.... go on put one up for us mere mortals where we can say " Well he's not perfect is he?") love your work Bravo and Thank you
A song about my wife. Recorded 2005.
I'd just taught myself how to play piano (badly).
I'd always wanted to be Freddie Mercury when I was younger... still got a bit of a ways to go.

And here's another song from 1994, with a sparkling new "Andrew Russe Band" arrangement fresh from the broom-cupboard.
Like most of my songs, it was written with an acoustic guitar, a pen, and an A4 pad. The ones…
And Hank!!
What's going on? I'm working on some "modern" crap (I use the term "modern" loosely), and everyone's putting out superb versions of old masters!
Did I miss a memo or something?
Found this old track while backing up my hard drive. It is an alternate tracked played at a slower tempo. I added a quick drum track and ruff remix this morning.
And the Wolf would be happy with this one - I disappear for a few days and everyone's postin blues by the masters.
Oh, shivers down the back of the neck as the track got going... that whacka whacka on the guitar while he's getting the groove - that kinda stuff gets me every time.
Excellent stuff.
Ole Muddy would've been happy.
Excellent version. Jazzy end of bluesy. Wow, it's a superb vocal - it wouldn't matter what backing you put to it, big arrangement, little arrangement, superstars or wotever... this vocal would be the main show.
Love the sigh at the end lol
Greg Connor added his amazing harp to the song. It really adds depth to it. I love Greg's playing on the song. Thanks so much, Greg! This is why Alonetone is great.

I count my blessings…
Wrote this after hearing on the radio of a bloke who ran off to France with his underage girlfriend and guess what? he's doing time (asshole) Thanks to Lady Jane for backing vocals
Ooh yeah, nice one. Love the vibe...
Just been reading about Percy Bysshe Shelley (France, underage girlfriends)... and just now me and the missus were talking about the possibilities of flute (always makes me think of Ian Anderson when I consider flute)...
And then I hear this little beautie. Excellent.
I haven't mixed the song yet - it's really raw. Hopefully, I'll have it done by next month.

And broke it apart

Another excellent bit of music by Geas.........and we co wrote the lyrics..that surgens knife works wonders.........Thanks Geas
Sometimes (Lyrics)
Sometimes i hear a whisper
sometimes i hear a scream
sometimes i don’t know whats happening…
Actually this version really works. First time round I really missed drums and bass. But when the vocals are going it sounds like Reg and Les are utterly made for each other.
Comments on Andrew Russe's stuff

Yummy tic tok drums and a warm tele jangle, how could I not fav this one .
Fun tune! Very well put-together. Like Colleen says, great for playing and toe-tapping in the kitchen :)
Like this very much...really tight mix, and love the drum sound....
It's fun to hear how you just find these gems in the shoe box.
Back for another listen and now I just want to dance around the kitchen to this all day. I’d fav this again if it would let me!
Love that country zeppelin swing thing here... an instant fav! What a shoe box!!!
Top notch Andrew ...... again ...... : )

Nice !
Oh yes! from the composition, sonic quality, standard of playing and lyrics to the overall positive and catchy tune this one kicks arse!

Cool version. Les coming along nicely - you'll have to raise your game soon to keep up with him.
Brilliant. In-yer-face sound from the start. Love the lyrics. Superb track.
How did I miss this? Love it.
Don't know the original, but I like this.
Oooh yeah, like this one a lot
Aha! Just noticed that you guys have appeared on here. Nice one.
Oh yeah, this is going to work.
Well that was a jolly little three minutes... Like it.
Well, that's a relief then...
Oh yes, nice collab.
Superb. Love the vocals - shiver down the spine stuff...
