Glad it wasn’t just me re the Floyd thing on this track, and now reading other comments from your thread, I can agree some Tull influence too...a rather excellent combination! I was late to the Floyd party, to be fair, being a total Genesis nut since forever, but then when I was invited to join a PF tribute in 2008 for a few years, grew to love their music totally.....

Hi there...this is the only was I can see to thank you for your regular positive comments for my orchestrations and Soundscapes!! But can I also now say that I love the feel of this track...may I say a bit reminiscent of Pink Floyd?....especially the lead solo..

That shoe box from 1994 must literally be vibrating with energy.... Like someone up in outer space could see it's energy field from a million miles away. This one is gut wrenchingly beautiful. Amazing emotion.

Ok, grabbed me right away with that unexpected chord shift in the intro. I love your songwriting, man. The variety, the sonic palettes, the lyrics, the playing, the inventiveness, all of it really; it's such a pleasure to sit, listen, and lose myself in the song.

This is great, simply great. I love how you are able to sing this so well, even with your tongue firmly planted in your cheek.

Oh yeah...the slide just kicked in and the hair on the back of my neck stood up. Killer groove, the bass and drum lock up, along with the Rhodes...... Love the space in this mix too. Damn, Andrew, you are on fire. It's good to hear you making music again. Selfishly speaking, it's inspiring.

Exhales...man. I'll just say this is really, really powerful. And tough to listen to since I think I know where this is from. On a production note, whatever mics you are alluding to where a good acquisition. I love how your acoustic has been sounding on these cuts this morning.

lol - the bass was an organ set to "hammer house of horrors", perhaps I overdid it! (The reverb on the vox is deliberately "chilly" as well) I wanted stark and lonely in the verses. But I also wanted comfort in the choruses - which is what the other instrumentation was intended to bring... but I've given up on that idea... it now sounds to me like the singer is incapable of bringing the comfort he offers, and he knows it... so I'll leave it them both to it :) And nope, I didn't steal the teddy bear... But mine were removed from me and given to my sister when I was about 8 years old... so I do know exactly what I'm talking about lol

Oh this one! Without a doubt :) Listened to all four tracks as well. Nice one. I loathed the Buzzcocks in the late 70s, but I came to appreciate them a lot more later.

Woo yeah. This un's a goodie. And a real stand-out Reg vocal on here. Superb.

Having another listen for that guitar sound :) Funnily enough, my SG and Explorer have swapped pickups (wonder if this had anything to do with it?). The SG has come off slightly better I think, been using it a lot last few days - slightly more, er, raucous than this, but it can do these sounds as well now.

I'm reaching that conclusion too :) If I'd held it back and put the parts on that I was rehearsing that day it would have been fine... and possibly better... But I was trying them out today, and they seem surplus to requirements now! (Mrs R has got her way lol)

:) It's the rock part in the middle that grabs me most - love your vocal in that section, almost fluid and liquid. I like how the whole things hangs together. Just waiting for that weird ending now.... ah here tis... oh yes, very cool ending!

It's hard to go wrong with this tune... but this is just gorgeous. Love the arrangement. I find myself drifting between following the melody and following the accompaniment. Masterful stuff.
