wow,, just saw this on a comment,, ive never heard this,, where has acl been hiding this cool stuff? guess ill have to go looking through the back repertory,,i like the way this builds various instrumental leads over what is basically a simple pattern (that's ment as a complement,, that's what most of my stuff is about, or tries to be,,yours is really great)... very nice warm sounding clarinet? im not sure..... very well done,, ill have to go spend some time in your library
This is really a true story.
No, really...
And our holiday gift to you & your friends. (Feel free to download it and share it with anyone who you think might enjoy it.)
Oh... by the way... acl is finally waking from a very deep slumber…

I just listened to your demos, and I think they sound fine as they are. The dance music didn't make me head for the fallout shelter, and this song is actually very nice. I don't think you did a bad job on them at all.

Great stuff! I am commenting on this on specifically because it is the one I most enjoyed, though that is not to disparage the other tracks in any way... Was this one done for any RPM? I am a fellow February-er which is why I ask. Keep up stuff!
This is the basic theme for "weekend in new orleans", a documentary we're currently writing the soundtrack for (it'll be adapted with variations throughout the film). It's very quiet. (Video trailer coming shortly.)

I was born into a fire
Only days alive and swallowed whole
Tight in the grip of man
Cold and calloused hand
Side-step the blow
Joy is dissolution

The title track for this year's RPM album. One mic. Live take. Please forgive the missed notes.

A few months back, Jim (MTC) posted an outstanding acoustic track which summoned up a clear-as-day memory from my childhood. The vividness of that memory resulted in this song... Amazing how such significant events in your life (like recognizing…
Another "oldie but goodie" that had never really gotten the love it deserved... The original version came in at over six minutes (and even I recognize in looking back that it was WAY too long).
Written for a friend from days long past working in special needs summer camps... Now she's raising an autistic son, and doing an amazing job of it.
Still, none of it's fair.
One more instrumental before I move on to the vocals...
I came up with this riff one hazy night when I was 19. I'm in my 30s now, and rather more sober, but I still like playing this. It felt good to finally flesh it out.
My contribution to this year's RPM Kitchen Challenge.
Very silly.
Well, can’t you see the baby’s crawling
And pulling up all by herself
I can’t imagine what will be falling
When she climbs up on the shelf
See how much she likes to…
The third of three tracks in this year's "Winter Sketches" EP. As preparation for my concept for this year's RPM Challenge, ALL SOUNDS were produced on an iPhone. This track was recorded in a single pass using the Beatwave app.
This is a live cut from an NPR radio broadcast back in 1988 while my Irish Trad group Scartaglen was on one of its first east coast tours. Found recently on a cassette tape. Musically this was one of my favorite periods in the history of the band…
Just a rough version of a song I plan to record properly during this coming February's RPM Challenge.

You might have something to say
Some sympathy for me?

I must agree with Savage. Wendy's background voice is wonderful and really makes this one drift. I just love that. Well done.
Excellent idea to incorporate river dancers! Percussion at it's finest - the dance becoming the song.
Brilliant!
