This is an experiment in stacking real time delay/looped tracks that had no preconceived connections... all overdubs were done without listening to previously recorded tracks. I hear some very interesting synchronizations.... You?

Like A Wave
--
If you make yourself a mule
someone's gonna ride you
this I know
Like a breeze moves through the air
or a wave upon the water
is how I go
When you can freely give
of all that you can hold
you can know no more…
(RPM 2011) For obvious reasons, many RPM albums make use of improvisational sound collages. ;-) This is the first of three that divide the record into sections. You may or may not hear the connections in the lyrics, but it actually does make…

@Dweeb, this is an old track from 2020. I tried multiple takes of this song.... not sure if this version was a vocal overdub or not, I'd have to find the old master tracks to figure it out. I found this on my old laptop when cleaning up desktop files the other night. I wrote/recorded this in April of 2020, not long after John Prine passed away. I guess it was kind of my tribute to him.

We are okay to go. As our spirits we are sending ourselves on missions never ending, we are okay to go, we are okay to go. Rainbow colors flashing, astral waters splashing, canopy projected, our spirits are protected, we are okay to go, we are…
On a cold and lonely trip through hyperspace, our protagonist wonders whether he'll ever see the sunrise on Ganymede again. (All sounds produced acoustically!)
If you ever get back to Ganymede, be sure to stop & look at the Ganymede Model Train Museum, which is actually in a structure about the size of a British police booth, except it's magenta with titanium highlights.
The museum is bigger on the inside than it is on the outside. Say hi to Wowbagger the Infinitely Prolonged if you do happen to bump into him, jolly well.

This is my complete entry for the 2013 NaSoAlMo. The album is called Radio and it's a suite of seven songs tied together with the sound of a radio being tuned. It's done.
Song about idolising people. Mr Supercool is anyone we think deserves our idolatry - could be a him, or a her, or even oneself. Mr Supercool cares nothing for anyone. He has no love.
Anyway - glad to be back messing with music again after…
Although I do like your concept and your lyrics very much, I'm sure it will come as no surprise that my favorite part is the psychedelic guitar breakdown in the middle of the song.... Actually though there are quite a few things to like about this track: The synth string pad, the drums (I am so *weak* in this area, and really appreciate what you've done here!), not to mention the brief woodwind interlude (very tasty!) before the final chorus line and then more psychedelic guitar to the out. I've clicked the fave button, but afaik it's still busted.
Love the shifting sections of this piece.... Excellent guitar throughout, obviously --- but the bed tracks are all just excellently put together. Even a tantalizing vocal section at the very end. Well done, all around!!
I think this year marks my fourth crack at NaSoAlMo, National Solo Album Month. This song marks the first time in those four attempts that I've actually finished a song within the month of November.
Song by Nick Plagakis
Lyrics:
I don’t care for love and happiness
I got myself a yacht and a mansion
I don’t believe in God and religion
I got myself sixty four billion
Greed, greed, greed is what I need
Greed, greed, greed is what…
New song. Wrote the guitar part first, lyrics came later. This is one of the first songs I've done more than one track on in quite a while, and also one that isn't dark (unusual for me). Anyway, enjoy!
unfinished track for a three part composition.
If you live in the Fort Worth, TX area and would like to perform this live, send me an email. I'm finishing up part 2 and will start on Part 3 soon. I would like to put together a large ensemble…
Yeah, I know, it's early. But the Banjo Hangout is having a contest for banjo renditions of this tune, and I decided to toss my hat in the ring, so to speak. Might win the 6-string banjo first prize, which I can't imagine having any use for, or…
Molensteen.
Ik zie een molensteen versleten na z’n lange reis.
Door onkruid overwoekerd, traag verslonden door de tijd.
Bij een stenen muur of wat daar nog van over is.
Vertoont het treurige feit van alles dat ooit was word uitgewist…
Comments on Cave Street's stuff

Yes, Jason Deptula on cello!
Good to hear you back at it good to hear your gigging to
Good to hear you again. Is that a cello?
Rock on!
Ah this is mesmerising. Lovely. It's good to know you're still making music. I'm playing catch up here. Been away in the woods
sounds like a shifty gambler shuffling cards in the corner of a dirty bar. like a slightly subdued tom waits.
Tripping music. Love it!

So great. Wow, lovely lyrics and melody too.
Great Folk flavored song and lyrics. It's nice to hear this kind of music. We need more of it.
Exceptional lyrics!!! Love this arrangement- spare and supportive of your raspy warm vocals
Great chorus. Is this performed "live"?
You a bad man. Duderino.

Reminiscent of Waters & Gilmour - listening to it in the hot springs made the whole experience seem impossibly sublime.
The Velveteen Sheen & the Velveteen Shine
Very cool sounds. Like it!
So flabbergasting that my gasts are all flabbered out!
I love long-play tracks like this that just go in all sorts of unexpected directions.

Excellent! Can't wait to hear the whole thing. I just uploaded mine too! AT won't let me make a playlist though!

This is good stuff, the kind of song that sort of sucks you in and envelops you in it's own little sphere of sound. Excellent collab, gents!
Well it's an excellent song, RJ. Awesome guitar is a bonus!!
beautiful track, k
Great track, Nick!
Nice one! I liked the words a lot. Hope we can do some recording soon. - Michael
very meditative. looking forward to the rest.
This sounds really great! Very nice recording. Good luck on second place, but this might be too good!
Beautiful!
Epic stuff man, really like the drums on the section that starts about 2 minutes in.
Wow that guitar is LOUD and NASTY. Kick out the jams, Reggie!
Intense!!
It sounds like you are in tune with your instrument to me! ~:^)~
I haven't seen the commercials, but I love this track!

As always, I love it. You are so patient with your music, it totally pays off.
