I agree with Greg -- it is indeed like Paul's recording was made for you. The lyrics ROCK! I dig the mix own of multiple vocal tracks -- great job. Gonna play it again right now!

Nicely done Colleen! Pretty melody and a really resonant situation with different meaning for everyone. Traveling alone is really big idea! Thanks for sharing it.

This is my second piece for the RPM challenge... And it's a big milestone for me... the first time I ever played my own instrument along with it! It's rough, but you gotta keep trying and start somewhere, right? Greg Connor... you'll understand…
I wrote this song while out hiking some awesome trails in Zion National Park... gave me some excellent inspiration. I also tried some different stuff with the mixing and using my keyboard... so trying to push a few of my envelopes...

Colleen, thank you for your kind words. I count you as a part of what I like to think of as the Easy Folk gang, along with Greg Connor, Mark Imsdahl, Steve Krell, Terry Brown, Roger Harris, Ron Rouch, Big Time Operator, Paul Lennon, James Michael Taylor, and several other good people on AloneTone who have found their way into my heart and mind.
AloneTone is huge, with literally HUNDREDS of member musicians. But if you go to the site's home page, click on "Artists" and then "dedicated listeners," you'll find me in 1st place. My other three profiles on AT are also on that first page. Add them all together and you will note that I take AT seriously, and I've come to know who out of the hundreds are particularly special artists to follow, not just for their talent but for their heart.
There are some on AT who are mind-blowing musical geniuses, but who will never thank you for a comment and never play your music. Then there are those who may not be particularly awesome, but they'll play every song you post. As you may have heard, I'm not suppose to be in this world much longer -- I've already lived beyond my doctor's prediction -- and with what extra days I'm blessed I've been dedicating to AT as a listener.
And when I go, all I have to leave the world is my music. I want people to play my music when I'm gone, as a way of keeping me alive. And I can't want that without lending my own ear to others while I'm here. But there's a lot of music on AT and only so many hours a day to play any of it. But I know who on AT appreciates the listen, and who doesn't care if I listen or what I think or even if I exist.
So I dedicate my time and ear to those who do care. People like you. And when I find AT people who care, people like you, in my mind I add them to my Easy Folk gang. Welcome to the gang. It's a blast having you in the mix.
Happy Sunday Alonetoner's.
I wrote this song yesterday as I had some recent events to ponder.... I hope you like it. Trying for a bit of a bluesy feel. If you'd like to download it and add some background blues bass or guitar, or harmonies…

I see your lips move but I don’t hear what you say
Tomorrow is just…
But the Sun
I close the curtains
To shut out the darkness
I shut the window
To keep out the cold
But the Sun is shining
Somewhere, I know.

Hey there,
This is a song that has been in my head for a while now. I think it has an amazing content. It's originally for Violin Solo, but I made an arrangement for 2 Violas and 2 Violins. I added/changed perhaps 10 notes in total, it's crazy…
This is one of only two songs from this year's 50/90 that was started on guitar rather than bass. It's also one of three where the vocals were recorded on a day where I couldn't sing in tune to save my life. It's also one of three where the…
This is more of a description than a song. It's my contribution to the Minnesota Homebrew Radio Show monthly song writing challenge: "Write a song about your first car."
So many good stories in that brain of yours!! Love this. Especially fun to think of you driving around with Rita in that Mustang... and clean up the backseat would ya!
I was trying out the new guitar a Harley Benton 12String just like Tims (Greeny's) an its a beauty it sounds great and for just over £200 a bargin to boot. Heres a bit of blues the Harley benton and a fender strat and a wha peddle

A simple one-track mandolin tune. In fact it's the first tune I ever made on the mandolin. I think it would be better with a bodhran drum accompanying it, but I don't know how to play those!
Maybe someday this will work its way into something…

I like this one, even though there's not a lot to it musically. Mix wise, there's tons going on. Four rhythm guitar tracks, five vocal tracks, four lead guitar tracks, and (really) two drum tracks. Oh yeah, and one lonely bass guitar.
