This is a love song for Idaho. Funny thing is I've never even been to Idaho, but I dreamed the chorus and the happy little riff some years ago, and it's stuck with me ever since. So, I filled it in with some verses and an outro that capture the…
A silly, sort of dreamlike / lullaby-ish tune, about weird travels on a bubble-gum balloon.
Lyrics:
See one time I was chewing bubble gum and it was mighty fine
I blew a bubble so big it took me up into the sky
So this is the story of where…
A simple one-track mandolin tune. In fact it's the first tune I ever made on the mandolin. I think it would be better with a bodhran drum accompanying it, but I don't know how to play those!
Maybe someday this will work its way into something…

A simple tune with a sweet melody. New version uploaded with the sound more balanced and a better vocal track, I think.
Lyrics:
You thought it could be simple
You hoped it would be fine
When you took the path long travelled
You took…
Love the lyrics. I was thinking like this the other day - not specifically for or about me - but I was explaining what Jimi Hendrix's Highway Chile meant to me when I was young (to my wife, she was just nodding, so I'm guessing it was one of those "uh-oh, Andrew's talking about music/musicians again, better nod my head" moments!). And then I was wondering about Neil Peart and how he used to write about stuff like this... and then I wonder how... etc... etc... IN my case, I deliberately stepped out of the spotlight before it got that bright - I miss it but not what it costs... and yep, years later, the music got young again... did I say love the lyrics?
A simple guitar groove. Haven't sat in a coffee shop since before the lockdowns, and I miss the atmosphere and the music! This tune feels to me like sitting in a cafe.

Another silly little tune, this time about the world's favourite stout! (Edit: uploaded a new version. Fixed a few mistakes.)
Lyrics:
When the sun is up high, in a bright blue sky
And you're walking around in Dublin town
You got nothing…

The Guiness drinkers owe it to themselves to listen to this, favourite it, and... have another Guiness. The less enlightened need to start drinking Guiness... but remember, everyone, that "alcohol is not a coping mechanism"... doesn't actually apply to Guiness, obviously (because it counts towards your 5 A Day, same as Red Wine and Potato Chips)

I made a silly little song in French about the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy `:-) Recorded on my phone, hope it sounds ok on the website!
Lyrics:
Je viens d'reveiller
Je ne peux plus dormir
J'prends du cafe
C'comme ça, i'faut s'nourrir…

I've been missing in action for ages - apologies to all, I'm about to start listening again too.
For ages, I'd been considering a move away from my trusty Boss BR1600 on which I've recorded and mixed nearly everything…
This one makes me really happy. Soothing and a little snappy. Guitar, bass, lyre, bongo, bodhran (brush), vocals.
Lyrics:
Life is a roller coaster
Just turn on the toaster
I know you're up and down
Just make a happy sound
Flying a dragon…
Thanks, David!
Yeah I'm not Irish myself but I've always been a big fan of Celtic music. Been getting more into playing with those kinds of instruments lately.

VERSE 1.
Where the (G) windmill sings to the mocking bird
And the (CM7) prairie wind, without a word
(Am) Whispers thru tall (D) grass, I’ll be (G) home
(F C G) or (Am D)
VERSE 2.
Where the butter cups and…
High in the mountains
Above the falls and fountains
In the rarified air
You know ill care
Just for you, just for you
In the blue fiords
Seeking no rewards
In the darkest caves
My loves across the waves
Just for you, just for you…
Can you hide in happiness
Can you disguise the sadness in your voice
Could you play only major chords
Can you hide in happiness
Choose a part of you to show
And no one around you can know
Just how deep the scars go
Can you hide in…
Noodling around with classical guitar and came up with a progression. It progressed (regressed?) from there.
Parts are as rough as a cob, but I kind of like it. And when all's said and done, that's about it, right? If the creator of something…
A great little collaboration with Greg Connor and Colleen Dillon.
Merry Christmas to Everyone ......
And a silly little video :

I like this song, and I've recorded it twice now, but I don't think either recording lives up to its potential. I've been in Covid lock down for nine months now so I might just be crazy. Who can tell?
I cut a little out of the original…
I like the theme music to the PBS/BBC mystery series Midsomer Murders with its use of a Theramin. So much so that it inspired me to purchase a Theramin and try my hand recording my version of it. The first thing I learned is, while the Theramin…

So I got me a new geetar the other week.
Named her Lala, obviously. Seemed kind of appropriate - she wears a faded gold dress and is full of chunes and mischiefs.
This is our first effort together. It was meant…
A simple little guitar/drum loop that is just an excuse to layer big fuzzy guitar parts in harmony. I added quite a bit of soup onto the harmonies too, and put some backward vocals... just for trippy fun.
The cleanish guitar is a Gibson ES…
Comments on Pat Bondy's stuff
I think I love Idaho too and I’ve never been either
that whispered vocal feels very personal nice rhythm on the guitar mesmerizing track
I know what you mean, I haven't got one, hopefully someone will feel the spark.....
Oh yes. Makes me feel happy too.
Beautiful!!!!
Oh yes, nice one. Love that second verse "She’s in the mountains, She’s in the streams, She got singing birds, She got dreams..." ... yeah.

Good stuff, really crisp sound.

mm this is fantastic :)
I like coming back to listen to this one in particular sometimes. Sweet tune!
A feeling-good kind of song!
Thanks for the feedback on those other tunes, Lane! I'm digging these too :) Keep it up
Thanks, James! I think I started playing this tune after watching a season of Justified. Kind of in the same ballpark as the show's theme song.
Dig it! And, I agree wholeheartedly :)
The lyrics and chords with that hanging G note throughout really get under your skin :) I had to turn it up and listen again.
Lovely track!
I like this song too!
Just lovely! Downloading and playing on repeat for a while...
This one tickles my brain! :)
Well that tune's some good fun! Sort of playful and not-quite-creepy.
Mm, nice version of this tune. Tantalizing vocals and percussion.
Lala sounds bright and lovely and a little mischievous... Your comments on tracks are always appreciated! And your tunes are super easy to enjoy :)
Yep, dig it!
Very cool. I think I'll download it and play on a loop for a little while...
Pretty cool track
Very pleasant :) back for another listen...
