I’m very pleased with how the lead guitar break came out on this Political Folk song. The rocket being launched at the song’s intro is Apollo 11, carrying Neil Armstrong and company to Luna.
GOING TO TAKE A LOT
I’ve been watching for some…
A Sea Shanty with a bit of Psychedelic seasoning. Guest artist Starry Nightmoth performs the “harmonica” on a Yamaha KB as the song fades out.
37 SAILS
Thirty-seven sails be a full rigged ship
Open up ye hatch and pour ye spirit down…
This is really nice! I'm not familiar with your music, Gene, so do you write lyrics and music? Are you a one-man-band? This is the first song I've heard, it sounds a lot like Gentle Giant. Beautiful! Thank you
One of my personal favorite recordings from the 52 song MYTHOPOETICA demo collection, even though there’s a sound quality issue (the bass had a bit of a buzz). This was my first time using a wammy bar – I liked it!
PLASTIC GIRL

This is the bonus track for "The Best of GEM" playlist.
APATHY AND GREED
Apathy and greed is in the human seed
"I need more, to Hell with you" we say so well
How we live and play to get us through the day
Til we hear the bell that summons…

One of my better Psych Folk recordings. Intro voice and keyboards by Starry Nightmoth. BG rhythm/drums generated using a Yamaha E313 KB. Lyrics, music and all other instruments and vocals are my fault.
BEHOLD THE BREAD (Unleavened)

Unconnected, re: noise reduction on I Lose Control v.2- if you want to, go ahead! I'd like to see what you're able to do. You can email it back to me at songsforthebroken@yahoo.com, and I will put it up and credit you. If you get any ideas while doing that and want to overdub something, feel free to do that as well! Thanks again for listening!

Have a problem with TV evangelists? You won’t have a problem with this number! This Psych Folk tune features Starry Nightmoth on church organ. The rhythm/drum track was generated using a Yamaha E313 KB, the rest is my fault.

Since you showed interest in my songs, I thought I'd check yours out too. But by god, this is impressive! Reminds me of 'Treasure Island' - one of my most favourite books of all time. Thank you for creating this. I love, love, love this.
Golden Days
--
Golden days, golden days are ahead of me
Goin' where the wind don't blow so cold
Endless Summer, soothe my soul
Where the streets are lined with gold
Golden days, golden days are ahead of me
There is potential here. I like the music, lyrics, vocals... If you have and can use multi-track recording software, well, that's how I would tackle this, recording the mandolin and vocals separately and there after pan and adjust the volume of each track as needed to make the most of both.
This song is for my work as an English teacher. I train up primary school children and then record them singing it. if all goes well, I give them an mp3 with their vocals in it and cut mine out.

Full moon, full of mystery
Full moon, shadows thru the trees
I can feel your spell, I’m beggin at you please
So long I been straight and true
No wrong has come into view
I can feel that dark side, all because of you
Way down…
Here's another contribution to the RPM this year Track 02....Reg is starting to realize whats important in his life.....
LOOKING WANTING NEEDING LOVE
Been a puppet, a pirate, a poet, a king
a rich man, poor man, beggar man, thief
i lived…
This put a big smile on my face. The percussion is like nothing I've heard before in the Connor universe. That's a hip bass and drum combo, but the vocals and guitar are classic -- a mighty tasty fusion of styles. Very interesting, intriguing even. The blend of vocal tracks is particularly groovy. Some sweet picking there, bud! I'm taking this out for another spin!
Go to the head of the class. John would have approved. Great job! I'm downloading so I can hear it in the other direction. Have you heard my "niaR" (Rain)? Be sure to check it out in both directions! Anyway, A+, dude!
Hold The Nighttime
--
Hold the nighttime just as close as you can. Get to know it. Yeah, make it your friend. Taste the darkness and you'll understand. The moon reflects the light on the land. But not everything is what it seems... in this dream…
Great panning. The mix down and mastering job is superb, tasteful, well thought out. Sounding awesome on my speaker system. Sweet! Gonna play it again!
I'm at 2:00 minutes into the song so far, and if there is a vocalist in there, I can't make him or her out. Ahhh, there he goes, at 2:30. It's a pleasant voice, and on key. but he didn't seem to have much to say.
Comments on Gene Eric Mann's stuff
Lore of Spring, great material. Love your style.

I recall this one great to hear it again :)
good rendition!
I'm not ignoring you Gene, can't sign in.... again, waiting for it to be sorted out. Roger M Harris.

Golden! ;)
You are definitely, by far, my favorite guitarist on AloneTone, if not on the planet!

Love it -- Rock on!
I've not heard the original -- I'm not familiar with Wilsun -- but this is groovy!
That's a unique means of percussion-ing a sound track! Very groovy, very cool.
I'm with Ron on the swamp rock feel, and with Colleen about the movie soundtrack material. As always, without fail, a great job!
Digging the poetry and that wahwahing guitar lick.
I dig the mix down of vocal tracks -- nice blending, tasteful panning job.
You have a sweet voice.

Just heard in reverse -- neat, delicious, psychedelic, groovy, and cool.

Dreamy! Psychedelic! Colorful, textured, a bit bitter but in a tasty way. Groovy mix -- Rock on!
Beautiful. Such depth, heart and soul. The lyrics are so brilliant, emotional, and reaching. Not that any of that matters, because, you know...
Great panning. The mix down and mastering job is superb, tasteful, well thought out. Sounding awesome on my speaker system. Sweet! Gonna play it again!

I guess that was what the "(In Progess)" thing was about.
What? Did you intend this to only be 24 seconds long? Just when the music was getting my attention, it died.
Very cool!
