This, or at least the second part of it, was originally going to form part of a comedy opera I would never have finished in a million years. Couldn't resist putting it on here.

Very nice, sir. And I agree. Sometimes I tend to overdo songs too. You were right to do the harmonies and leave it pretty much as it is. Excellent song.

That walked along side of us all
Holding it together though hell n high water
Always there to answer the call

My first completed 2013 RPM track. Thanks to Kavin for turning a simple acoustic song into what you hear today.

RPM 2011 number 2. Inspired by an ex-friend of mine who had the most dazzling rose tinted glasses. Always used to envy the simplicity of his view and how nothing could ever get to him (everything gets to me).. since i knew him I know a lot of…
Really wanted to try and learn what i would consider one of the best lead guitar solos of all time, recorded this in early 2010 and it's my effort at learning the solo. Hope you enjoy it.
Thanks to Colin for writing, performing and producing this song, and for letting me mod it. I think it's a great tune, benefits from an uptempoing. This is Hot Wheels Spaulding reimagining Colin's song 'The View'
I fused 3 tracks, 'Tapping water', 'Sweet dream', and 'Every where I go', in my mini hadron collider in the basement, and this is the result.
It may need a little longer in the oven, and few burnt bits sanding off.

I was inspired by the music of a friend of mine, their band is called Aradhna and you might like to check them out. I've attempted to compose a song in the Hindi language and here it is.

Another angry song. My boss once handed me a spreadsheet about cost prices from vendors and said "I don't like the way this looks". I wondered if the upper management looked at salary costs the same way, and that led to this song.
This is my most angry song.

Comments on Colin Garvey's stuff
Bloody hell, (in the best of ways, now)thanks (Iconoclast of the RPM)
So passionate...your voice is sublime. A Great tune!
Great sound!!! I will be listening a lot.
This is hysterical... and brilliantly demented!!! I love it!
Great mate reminds me of Queen or McCartney from the early 70s Cooltrack mate very cool.
Digging this one, great groove and vocals... and the production values on your tracks are top-notch!
Still one of my favourites of all time.
My favourite Garvey track this year! Great stuff - you sound utterly minxy! (Is it okay to call a man "Minxy"? Hmm.)
Haha! I'm sure I misheard a lot of that, but still. :-D
Fine tune, nice harmonies on the chorus. Shame the great guitar work is a little buried in the mix, but a winner none-the-less.
Great guitar sound. Neat slide break. Funky harp. Heartfelt vox. Winner all round!
Love the harmonies. ER

I was gonna say the Zep influence is all over that tune and then you drop a levee breaking reference and it made me smile. Great harmonica work.
You've got a great guitar sound going there. Were these all recorded live? Lots of energy, great job!
That slide solo is just too damn funky! Great stuff!
Oh well sung! Love that raw, funky guitar too. Faved!
This is so pleasing to listen to!
This is the sh*t, man! Right on the edge, so cool - And the Frusciante style lead is great!
And those notes work very well together! Love it. ER

This rocks. Finding your music just made my evening. Cheers!
Your music makes me happy.
That is a soulful vocal. Clearly you're a man to watch this year.
You totally captured the feel of the song. Well done sir!
Does this groove or what? Love it.
I missed this when you first uploaded it... Great job - it fairly rattles along now, doesn't it?
Love those crazy harmonies at 4 mins. Your stuff's always interesting.
Bonkers! Love it.
Great to see you here man!
Great textures. You two work so well together.
You do so much with so little... Wonderful.
