This was written and recorded on 19th September 05
aka International Talk Like A Pirate Day 2005 ( a wet afternoon as I recall) and is posted here so you start to get the hint.
Aarr! Me hearties, tis the day you've all been waiting for this long year, fast approaching off the starboard bow. Break out the grog, Mr mate, and accompany me in a song if you will. And the Plank for anyone who don't sing in tune!
There's a youtube for this now and not a minute too soon!

This is my 2007 Pirate Day song, written and recorded September 19th 2007. I like the innuendo, but maybe it's too subtle - nobody else seems to notice ;~)

Hi, my 17 guitar is 17 equally spaced notes to the octave. So it has 5 extra frets. I tune it like a regular guitar with small adjustments to take into account the different fret placements.

I'm not sure if this is rockabilly or late 40s jump R'n'B. Dance music though. I had fun with the lyrics and the backing vocals.
This is now a tidied up version 18/3/09

My blue-eyed girl
Living in your blue-sky world
I'll do my best to keep the clouds away
Life is better on a sunny day
Smooth the road out where you go
Let your light shine and watch you grow

Post RPM jammin'. I don't feel much like cleaning up after RPM. Not yet anyway. I think my little Casio took a beaten and went out of tune. I did this arrangement with just the Casio, guitars and
harmonica, hence the annoying piano and strings…
I know, you think I've completely lost it. This is actually a cover tune. Originally done by Wall of Voodoo around 1979. I did it from memory and ear, so I'm not sure if I got the notes or the Key right. It don't matter though, It was fun.
I…
I'm on this like a cop on a minor traffic infringement!!
Great cover! this is right up my street/prairie.
Y'know Wall Of Voodoo themselves were covering this theme from the Clint movie? Perhaps Jackie Mittoo's reggae version was the first cover?
Bit of a waltz.
Everything I know about dancing I learned from watching.
This is my piano debut.
Bethan deserves some of the blame for this one somehow. Thanks.
