The best covers are the ones that have a unique take. BTW did you know Mick Jagger sang backup vocals on the original?
Very nice interpretation, the sparseness really adds. Addictive.
And thanks so much for your kind words. They really mean a lot.
A night hawk sings. A church bell rings. Echoes flood the night.
A stillness tides past the languids of the park. Then you shuffle by.
Beneath your mack, though there is no rain, your eyes catch mine for a while.
You stop, I suppose to see…
Still learning the keys.
This will be the last cover for some long while. It just seemed like something fun to practice on since everything that appears in my head is usually slow and sad. Now I can practice on something fast and sad!

This is the last one. Letting go is not something I am good at, but this is the last one.

This was an attempt at using the keyboard to make an instrumental invoking looking for something, thinking it had been found, then finally finding it. Or, put another way, this was a way to practice piano.
Hello Mike. Thank you for the tips on miking a kit, tips that I’ll definitely take into consideration.
As far as your inquiry of our influences, we’re three dudes who have all been in bands both together and otherwise since the 1980’s. Our influences are all over the place, but I’d say that pop music from the 1960’s looms large with all of us…me especially. Almost all of my tunes are straight-up attempts at capturing that groovy vibe….anything that the Wrecking Crew worked on, as well as the mop-tops.
I’m a genuine fan of your stuff, so please keep ‘em coming.

I'm not a stickler for pristine recordings....in fact, there are albums that I insist sound BETTER on old vinyl.
This recording is soulful, raw and terrific. Well done.

This is a song my late-night self apparently left for my morning self to think about. I admit it just keeps gnawing at me, maybe not in a good way.

When the rain comes
as it always does

Under the kissing tree
you fell with me
fell with me
You have been so far
so far from me

And when the rain comes

this song is about 5 yrs old , rythm gtr/ lead gtr/ bassgtr / keyboards instruments / brass / strings / organ / played by myself , vocals / backing vocals/ by myself ,...mixed and mastered by myself ,...thank you for your time ,.....cheers tony cee
Another great tune! The first thing that caught me was the groove. The rhythm guitar providing the backbeat is awesome and as soon as the vocal kicks in, I'm sold.
mixed , mastered , vocals backing vocals , guitar , lead guitar , bass guitar , played by myself , strings, brass played on keyboard , hope you like it , thanks for your time .......cheers tony cee
Yeah, this is really cool. I wouldn't have known how to describe it, but Andrew's description works! It really felt like the drums were going to pull out and then jump into a Ringo backbeat through the chorus, then instead we got the brass filling in that jazzy feeling.
The solo is great too. Keep it up!
Mr. Greene

In love with our teacher Mr. Greene
Immature and so out of touch
Just a silly schoolgirl crush.

Lessons not, quickly forgotten.

I just got done with a slog
Hard to see with the fog
I try to stay in my log cabin
I recall what’s on the other side
Which is a far off planet
I’m there, I astral project but
I am still where I have been
Back in this damn project…

The progression in the verses is dangerously close to Stairway, but without the augmented transition. You are an evil soul for such a puzzle, but the song itself is haunting and I really like.
Track 3 from The Bunker 2013
Summer Breeze
The summer breeze
Brings it all back to me
starlight skies
Pull me to my knees to cry
But the Blue sky and the sun gives me hope
love will come to me again
The greys skies
Take my hope…
Comments on Mike Denison (Lumberfork)'s stuff
I’m liking the piano sounds like a real one rather than midi but I’m probably wrong
For being angry, the light touch on the piano brought a bit of sunshine. That’s the best way to channel all that anger indeed!

Great vocal
Ok, this is great! Your voice is perfect.
Again...soulful. Beautiful.
I'm late to the party on this one, but had to comment to say that I think you really did a great job making this song your own -- bravo!
Enjoyed this one!
Excellent track Happy new year 🥳
Very nice. I admit, it got me in the feelies.
Well done….i’ll have to check out the original, I’ve never heard this one. You shouldn’t curb the covers….it’s ALL better than AI.

Stunningly good and heartfelt. Swordfishtrombones vibe!

There. Ruined it with drums.
This is fantastically unique and uniquely fantastic. It really draws you in. Beautiful.
I'd love to see a video of this. My brain can't wrap its, well, brain around what's going on. :D
This is haunting, sad, delicate and beautiful.
The song is indeed cute, but the lyrics might need a trigger warning.... :)
I love this jazzy style from you. Great tune even if it hits a bit close to home...
Your tunes still remind me of Daniel Lanois work. Beautiful.

I feel like I just read somebody's diary.... This feels brutally honest and the vocals and instrumentation are spot on. Very nice!
This is a real punch in the gut, in a good way.
Actually kind of Crispen Glover and Howard Hessman too.
You brought two of my favorite humans together for the first time -- Bud Cort and Bob Dylan. If you only had Ruth Gordon going full Yoko....
There is a brutality to this that is uncannily beautiful. It finished playing minutes ago but is still spinning in my head in more ways than one.
Your art feels like a cross between Wesley Willis and poetry. Really interesting.
Sticking with Stairway. And this is still stuck in my head.
Or even Hotel Cali... you are so evil.

This is great stuff. Thank you for sharing.
Jesus. What brilliance is this?
