It's made me want to hear some of your established tracks with similar stripped-down arrangements, leading the listener to concentrate on the sheer artistry of your words and astonishingly soulful vocal. This is kick-ass! You have a great voice and I love your guitar playing. When you have great ingredients like that, you don’t need much more than good material, of which there is plenty here! I can relate... tho not nowadays... I don't have any lonely guitars, they're all among friends here (well, maybe the ones in the loft feel a bit left out of it) ... and she has a healthy relationship with them... but first wife...not so much! (and she's the one who married a gigging musician!!)

:) I wondered if that was the case - but then the "oh here's some words, whatever, at least they rhyme" often speak the loudest to the listeners! ... It's just gone 8am here. Just seen Mrs R off (her boss collects her - she's a nanny), I've been working since 6.15am... doesn't look like the sun is actually coming out today here!

Short but very sweet... These short ones encourage me to add all sorts of extra meaning myself as I'm listening. That's kinda what happens when we listen to songs anyway - no matter how much the lyrics are designed to lead us to certain conclusions or "points of view"... a song never really says what the songwriter thinks it says ... but these short ones encourage this "listener completes the song" process even more, they let my mind run free ... love it.
