For my Wife

Liz and the boy are currently staying with her sister by the coast.
Just to catch some chill time after all that has happened this year.

They are gonna spend the school holidays up there.
Should be cool for the both of them.

I’m still in London…

Wrote this yesterday…

Across our world
W/M by OsCKilO 2012

I miss my family….
I left my home
Where you are
yesterday……
Far away…..

We have our “space” now..
To call our own.
No More of this or that.
Or This and that…..

Three thousand pennies
keeps me here
no tips have come this way
No not today….

Time takes a life style
One we had here
All along again
No need to want…
We need to hold on…

For I am waiting for a time
Where we can stand up side by side
Again
With our own

No clock can fit the rhyme Of seconds stretched in line
Across our world

oh I ….

I feel my heart pull
To your calm side
So strong…
Oh Endless love….
Endless life…

I fix the bed spread
Your side it stays
So Smooth
Just where you laid
Where you laid

You are not with me
But patience stays
To sing its work
Today
Day to day

For I am waiting for a time
Where we can stand up side by side
Again
With our own

No clock can fit the rhyme
Of the seconds stretched in line
Across our world

I miss my family….
I left my home
Where you are
Yesterday….
Far away….

We have our “space” now…
To call our own…
No More of this or that.
Or This and that…..

Three thousand pennies keeps me here
no tips have come this way
No not today….

Time takes a life style
One we had here
All along again
We need to want…
We need to hold on…

Aw, I nearly missed this. Beautiful, tender and deliciously introspective. Miss your sounds - upload more, T.

The mark of a good song is if it can stand on its own with just a vocal and guitar or piano etc....and this is a very good song. At first the vocal reminds me of Peter Gabriel and how may approach it in the early days of Genesis. Mad love for this track.

Back for another listen. It's early morning, I'm having a coffee and doing some emails and a bit of listening before disappearing back into the room with too many guitars. The one I'm working on now isn't acoustic, but this is what I wanted to listen to first. This is kinda uplifting and the right thing to start with :)
