This is the 6th track in my album, Edolian, which is an album where I go through every EDO from 1 to 31 incrementally.
This song is made in 6EDO (as the title implies) which is more commonly known by it’s other name, the whole-tone scale. 6EDO creates a feeling of ambiguity, as it’s impossible to really know where you are in the scale from one note alone. However, it has a lot of tritones in it, so it’s generally relatively dissonant. In this track I tried to create a less dissonant sounding thing by doing a subset of 6EDO mainly, although I did do all notes of it since it’s still a relatively small EDO.
I’m excited about 7EDO, because it’s a subset of one of my favorite scales, 14EDO.
