This is the 16th song in my album, Edolian, where I sequentially make a song in every EDO from 1 to 31.

So, 16edo can sound really good if you use it right. It has some good intervals, but also some bad ones. If you just avoid the bad intervals, you can get something really interesting. Here, I used two main intervals to build harmony, the harmonic seventh (7/4) and the barbados third (13/10). These two intervals sound really nice together, and can create a sort of quartal harmony, but it’s not quite quartal, as the barbados third is inbetween the major third and the perfect fourth. It creates a very interesting sound, and I use it a lot in this piece. For melodies, I simply built them out of exclusively chord tones, as using anything else sounded to dissonant for what I was trying to achieve in this piece. This song is also in 5/4, so that’s a thing

Next track will be in 17edo, which is a tuning which can be used sufficiently as a temperament. It has mostly good intervals, so I might try out a piece where I modulate between multiple keys or something. I’ve never done something like that, so I want to try it out, and 17edo is the perfect EDO to do it in. Or, I might not do that, and just make a normal piece with interesting quarter tone-like
