This is the 25th track in my album, Edolian, where I sequentially make a song in every EDO from 1 to 31.
So, according to xen.wiki 25EDO has a good blackwood scale. The problem being, I could not find the scale degrees to it. So, in this piece I more just put notes together until they sounded good. I got a chord progression going, and I did a bit of chromaticism. I’ve noticed that you can get away with a shocking amount of chromaticism if you just have a good-sounding chord progression underneath them, which is what I did here. If you were to listen to the melodies on themselves they’d sound kinda bad, but over the chords they sound a lot better. There’s no real reason this piece would have to be in 25EDO, but I like how it turned out regardless
So, next song will be in 26EDO, which I don’t know too much about. Apparently it has an interval very close to phi, which is something. I don’t know what I’ll do with that but we’ll see what happens once I compose the piece.
