This is the 15th song in my album, Edolian, where I incrementally make a song in every EDO from 1 to 31.
15EDO has some very good harmonic features, but most importantly melodies in 15EDO sound really good. It’s also pretty easy to use basically all of the notes in 15EDO and have it not sound bad. It’s a really versatile system, and I enjoyed using it to make this song. I really like how it turned out.
So, 16EDO is next. I know a bit more about. More specifically, it doesn’t have very good intervals. But I’ve done EDOs without good intervals before, so that doesn’t worry me. It has a very good approximation of 7/4, which maybe could allow me to create some sort of seventh-based harmony, which would sound very interesting.
