South Bend Reels
More stuff from the ancient archives rescued from the same cassette tape as Last Nights Fun. This time a set of 3 Irish reels Live at a concert back around 1992
As Ted Sink would say, I love this more than icecream!
These tracks are getting me ready for a night out in Dublin on 14th. Can't wait. We had such a great time in County Clare a few weeks ago. The music was like this, amazing!
I love these tracks, such great fun!
How did i miss this again? Incredible!!! It's always a pleasure digging back into those lost cassette tapes. Great one Kirk.
Fantastic bagpipe work! wow!
Nice banter during the intro! Live music is where it's at... love this stuff!
..very cool, man. ..and FUNNY intro! Thanks, also, for checking that tune. Best, kss
..nice! (--and GREAT MC too :) As always, dig ye work, man; and thanks for listening to mine.
I love the bit of banter at the start - atmosphere and all that! Now for the music, OMG what a band! Kirk, this is great, it really drives. So glad you found it.
thank you for putting more up,,,,, very wondrous,,,this be the music of magic and fable, and special good times thanks R
glad you like that one, really i'm just messing around, I have a few new electronics and I can't figure out how to get a solid sound out of them. Well there is a manual, but.....it's 200 pages long. I will read it eventually but the best way to learn is to just try different settings.
What is the difference between a reel and a Jig?Love the bantering liveness of this, excellently played.....
Sounds just great!!
I'm Inspired by this! You Guys must have been great to see live! Makes me wanna Join a band!
Love it!!!!!! Love the chatter at the beginning! You romantic, you! <3
Wow. Nice reel (even if it's named after a lathe -- I am intrigued by the shop-vac idea, though!). All those are really nicely put together and nicely played. Have to get you to play the South Bend next time I'm up there. Nice, nice. I hope you guys had as much gum making music as the music is fun to listen to!
whether one likes this genre or not, that is certainly a very entertaining song, in its most musical sense. bravo!
Just great stuff... I have that tendency from time to time to forget that music is a performance art, and that there's really nothing like live music. Thanks, Kirk, for putting this up!
