Certain technology has made us soft and slow and easily distracted and though it started out as a way to make things easier for everyone, it has turned into laziness, and we don't even use that extra time for anything of value anymore.

Another track dug out of mothballs...
This one probably got stuck under the weight of all the effects... cpu overloads, sound drop outs, the works.
Rendering it took a long time but it seems to have come out ok.

Minor tweaks to the original upload: Better balancing of volume level, subtle changes to dynamics of the piano chords, and the addition of a very low-key counter-melody line on the third go-round of the main verse.

I actually composed this entire song in a piece of guitar tab software called Guitar Pro. Then I exported it to MIDI, imported it into Reaper, and assigned better sounding VST instruments to each track. The purpose behind it was to see if someone…

The original mix (on the RPM '09 album) was drenched in mic hiss. I used noise reduction to remove about 2/3 of it for this version (it didn't seem right to remove it completely). I roll off the noise reduction at the end for the au naturale outro.

I played dulcimer on this song, which is pretty cool. I bought it for $15 from someone in Dover, and I am thankful of whoever they are to this day, because it is a pretty cool instrument. That's it. This song is about rabbits being annoying and…

The lyrics were co-written with Mike Novak. I sent him the music, and we worked from there. I've done that a bunch with friends from Canada (Me Man Jack - check them out) and its fun to collaborate..

Words are from a sestina of the same title by Steve Davenport, who asked us to make music out of it! This was a terribly fun song to record. We did it, of course, while drinking. Thankfully no instruments were harmed.
